I was almost arrested shortly after I took this photo. Even though that was miserable the photos from this session turned out to be my absolute favorites.

Well, this building is virtually empty. I'm pretty sure it's going to be demolished. I love the huge windows and grungy feel. The girl wanted to shoot their so I simply couldn't resist. There weren't any "no trespassing" signs but we did have to crawl through a large gap in a fence. An hour later we are leaving and I notice a cop car waiting on us down the street. Moments later a total of 4 cop cars have surrounded us and things aren't looking so great for me. Even though the girl is a friend of the family the cops automatically assumed that our age difference is too suspicious and commence the interrogation. The cops look at virtually every single photo I took and explain to me how suspicious I look. Nothing new there, I've always looked that way to the cops. 45 minutes later after getting in touch with my model's mother the cops are still trying to decide what to do with me. They want to press charges but from what I understand they don't have the right. So they search my car and since they can't come up with anything they let me go. A perfect ending to a perfect day. I never ever want to repeat that. :puke
Yikes! :yikes A good reason to always have a parent along when working with a minor.....
True, her sisters and brother are basically nieces and nephews. My wife and I take care of them when their mom needs help and she does the same for us and our kids. One big happy family. Of course it's the cops' job to assume the worst I suppose. Oh well.
The entry period for this round is only two weeks!
All your entries go here! You can start posting now; this challenge will close on the 25th of August '10. See also the rules and information and the challenge chit-chatter threads.
Kidzmom has already won a previous challenge, and has an interview up already (link)! Since most people seem to really enjoy the interviews, I'm going to ask the next person with the most votes and who doesn't have an interview up yet, for the interview.
Congratulations, Kelly! You're on a roll! I loved your entry; those lashes are to die for... and you captured them beautifully. You definitely have a gift for photographing babies.
Oh WOW, thanks everyone!!! I am amazed to have won among all of those fantastic entries in the gallery!! I really enjoyed this theme (great one Heather). Playing with DOF is something I can never resist . This shot "Lovely Lashes" was taken with my 50 mm 1.8 and although it is a wonderful lens...I've recently become smitten with my new 70-200 2.8--precisely for the DOF fun. It is seriously an addiction for me. I LOVE playing with shallow focus so much. It truly was a pleasure to see everyone else's interpretation for this round. I'm looking forward to reading the interview for the #2 spot. Thanks for all of the nice comments and for the votes too! lust Kelly
ETA: Just saw that #2 was Jeff...he's already done an interview too since he won challenge before I did (#2 I believe). In #3 position, just after Jeff was Indiegirl with the "Thirsty" entry. Maybe then the interview goes to #3 spot since Jeff and myself have already been interviewed, lol. Ivar? Thanks!
