A study of Wasp Spider (Argiope bruennichi).
This spider can be found in long grass or low shrubs, creating its web between stems/branches.
Underside view in web.
The spider obligingly climbed to the top of the grass stem giving the sky as a background. It was quite an uncomfortable position to get in for the photo but it was worth it:D.
Side view
Close-up of underside
Wrapping an unfortunate Bush cricket that ventured into the web.
Hope these are of interest.
Equipment: Olympus E3 + Sigma 150 DG Macro + Metz MS1 Ring Flash.
Thanks for looking.

Thank you Phil. The colouring and pattern make them unusual spiders.
