Rebel XT portrait

Good Evening Folks,
Looking through some old pictures, I came across this shot of a friend of mine taken about 4 yrs ago with my old Rebel XT. Somewhere around f8 with a cheap Sigma 28-80 lens. Not bad really. I remember making 11" x 14'' prints with that camera. Does anyone else have memories with this camera ?

    Looks like a good photo from a cheap lens :D Sometimes I think those cheap lenses can be good....just needs the right elements to make them work good.

    Composition and creativity go a lot further than lens selection. Its funny to look back though and ask yourself how you ever made do with crappy lenses. Im sure i'll think the same of my current setup when I start piecing together my 1.4 and 2.8 lenses.
