You can spend $2400 on 70-200mm f2.8 VR II or $1900 on VR I - or you can have this beauty
with virtually the same super sharp optics - just no VR for a LOT LESS. Frankly, shooting at 2.8 - you
will not need VR as much as you would on consumer f3.5-5.5 lenses !!
This is a fantastic PRO Nikkor lens. Rest assured - it will NEVER be worth less that what you will pay for it now.
The glass is absolutely pristine. (UV filter was on it at all times). Comes with front and rear lens caps.
Price: .....a 'bargain' at $495 (FIRM - no offers and no trades please)

Please look closely at the label on the lens:
Nikkor 80-200mm ED f/2.8 AF
I am not sure about the year.
While there is just a few dust specs visible in the lens - it has ABSOLUTELY NO
effect on taking images. I have some additional images of the lens that
I can e-mail to a serious interested buyer. It was very hard to take pictures of the glass
elements due to the reflection from our home ceiling lights - but you will see that
there are absolutely no scratches at all on the front or rear lens elements.
This was a 'studio' lens. I purchased it from a well known Penthouse
photographer - Hank Londoner. He told me that this lens has seen many interesting
'things' ;--)....and numerous centerfolds and covers in Penthouse a few
years ago were taken with this lens. He actually sent me a letter on his letterhead
wishing me luck. He insisted that the filter was always son this lens and
I do believe that. I had my own B&W UV on it as well since day one I bought it from him.
(the filter is not a part of this sale). Needless to say - this lens has a nice pedigree
I just searched "Hank Londoner Penthouse" in Google images.
Careful - this is PG 13 stuff - I always wonder which was taken by this lens ... !
While I had it just a short time, I really liked this lens and pictures are amazing. I'd be lying to
if I did not feel a bit guilty selling this lens. However I just purchased used 70-200 VR I,
so this one must go.
The price is firm. I also have it on local Craiglist - I predict that it will sell within
the next 24-48 hours. Continental US shipping is $15. PayPal is +2.9%, but
if you will do a 'personal payment as a gift' - then there are no fees.

The Extra Large picture above shows only one ring - hence push/pull.
(the very thin ring in the front is for various distance limiters which
makes the lens focus much faster)
