Please fix Twitter 'be social' implementation

For some reason, when I try to 'be social' via Twitter, I have to login to my Twitter account via a popup window each time. Is there no way for a permanent authentication?

Also, why is the included link so long?? There should be a way to implement link shortening in this context.

I'm planning on starting a project in a few weeks time that will likely have me using a Pro account but I really need a strong Twitter implementation to 'spread the word'

Hey E, both these requests are on the drawing board, and although we don't comment on release dates, you should hopefully see them in the near future.

Just saw this across one of the sites I follow...looks like Twitter is making it easier to 'tweet' from external sites. Not sure if this could be incorporated as part of your upcoming changes:
