My mom is going to Hong Kong around the end of August and i was wondering if lenses (canon) are cheaper there compared to the united states since i live in the philippines?
I was thinking of buying a 50mm 1.2 and maybe a 100mm macro IS?:D

Hong Kong is tax free for camera and the accessories.

Here is the link of a reputable camera shop. http://www.tincheungcamera.com.hk/product/2829. The price may be marginally higher than other shops, but good enough for as guideline.

This is the link to one of the biggest electronic shops chain. http://www.broadway-ps.com/, The price is very transparency.

I got some good bargin from Cam 2 in Mongkok. http://shop.cam2.com.hk/category.php?id=16/?0

Try to avoid the camera shops in the tourist area.
