Milk.
What do you think? Is this a stretch for the theme?

your's is actual, mine is a mistake that I'm re-working. . This is GORGEOUS Greg!!!!!!
Is this from the meteor shower Thursday night?
And it doesn't remind me of Froch's shot at all.
It may be stretching the theme a little but imho having captured this you are already a winner.

Neither do I.... but I courteously disagree with you Peter. I think we always need to stretch the theme to get outside the box. )
To me "Milk" is both too open and too constraining at the same time (in other words I'm lacking inspiration ) so I applaud Greg (& indeed you) for stretching the theme.
I merely intended to note what the judges may think but the fickle decision of the "blind judges" is what we all face each time so (I couldn't find a smilie doing a coin toss.)

. I know. I stopped trying to shoot to what I thought others wanted. Hence my Stripe submission. Very little response to it. But one of my all time favorites in subject matter and title. . We are all different...
I spent the last three nights out taking pictures of the meteors, but last night was so clear. I've never seen the Milky Way like I did last night. It stretched from horizon to horizon. (I'm trying to piece together that as a pano right now!) I was looking for meteors, but the galaxy was the star. I have photos where you can even see the Andromeda Galaxy.
I'm in the process of building a lightbox to take the picture I had in mind for the theme, and will likely still try to do this to push my horizons a little in the product photography realm, but as I was marveling at the skies last night, the MILKy way connection hit me as a potential for this theme.
By all means Paul, reshoot yours. I'd love to see it and obviously will have to defer to you on the idea because yo beat me to it.
Check out some of the others from the last couple of nights:

that's a gorgeous series Greg!
I'm definitely headed out again. But please don't let my submission stop you from putting up something along the same thought process. I admire your work and like that we had a similar thought.
I'm going a slightly different direction trying to incorporate some foreground elements, but also trying a different technique. I should have researched a bit more before heading out... we'll see how that works out....

First, the Milky Way shot is excellent! I'm sorry to say I've never seen it personally, never been in a location dark enough. Second I would love to see the Andromeda shot!

I don't have the highest resolution version of this uploaded, but if you look just above and to the right of center in this photo, you'll see a blurry little star. Up close, you can see the spiral galaxy:
