Looking for info about how to give someone else permission to post photos under your account; I know it can be done and I've read about it, but I can't seem to find the details either in this forum or on smugmug.

Thanks.

How about if they don't have an iphone or it's too much to email. Isn't there an option whereby someone else could use their own pc to upload to your account without you giving them the password?
I thought I saw something about that, but maybe I'm mistaken.

Yes, go into your control panel under SETTINGS and setup your ASSISTANT's password. They then use your login id with that new Assistant's password to login.

They can do more than upload photos, they can also create categories and sub-categories. They don't have full control in admin area though.

They don't need an iphone; a regular email account will do.

You can give them an assistant password if you have a pro account. I wouldn't recommend that though unless they really are your assistant; that gives them more access than just uploading photos.

Well, I don't have a pro account; maybe I'll just let them use my password and change it after they're through. Thanks for the info, everyone.

    "guest" upload password
This is where a "guest" upload password feature for Power account holders (rather than an "assistant" password for Pro accounts) would be nice. The "guest" would only be allowed to upload images to a specific gallery and would have no authority to change gallery settings or anything else whatsoever.
