I have uploaded a gallery and collected some photos that i wanted to show on a forum.

This is the original gallery.

I used the share button to get a full screen slideshow to post on a forum from the collected gallery.

When you scroll on the screen it gives you the option to return to gallery and when you do it returns you to the original gallery. I only wanted to show a dozen photos or so but instead I am showing the entire gallery.

Am I doing something wrong?

I'm sorry but this is a limitation of Collected Photos at the moment. The link in the Slideshow will always go to the Originating gallery at this time. That may change in the future but you can't get around it at the moment.

Since you have the gallery already set to display as a Slideshow you can always just give a link to the gallery itself instead of to a Full Screen slideshow.
