Common darter dragonflies

First 5 shots an egg laying pair. #5 is certainly not very good but the only shot I managed with the female dipping her tail in the water dropping an egg. #6 is a crude focus stack of 3 female darters lined up on canes in the front garden - the canes are about 2 feet apart. Last shot a sky shot of one of the darters.

Good job on the behavioral capture, Brian. I really like the last image. 2nd to last is one that would have been soo much fun to have infinite time to shoot. :-) Lots of interesting comp options. But I'm guessing they didn't allow you that luxury.

Thanks Weeman and BC for the comments.

BC - I was a bit limited with #6 as i was using my 90mm macro lens - only way I could get them at reasonable size in the frame was to cheat and focus stack them.
