Hi there.
Regrettably, I damaged my old Canon Rebel XS body by attempting to clean its interior mirrors. (Horrible mistake, I know.) :rolleyes
However, my loss is potentially your gain.
I'm posting this thread because I now have a good reason to be interested in any cameras you guys might have laying around that don't get much use.
I would prefer to buy a Canon-branded body, as I have a few lenses that are already compatible with my XS. However, I will take offers on other brands if I feel the price is right. And yes, I strongly prefer a body with 8 or more megapixels. Anything smaller than that presents difficulties at larger print sizes. (At least for me.)
--Anyway, I thank you for your time. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Serious offers only.

It will cost a little over $200 bucks to have them repair it. I'll be without a camera for quite some time if I go that route... (Roughly 2 weeks. More or less.)
The other option is trading in my XS for a refurbished system. The best deal I can get out of Canon's Loyalty Program is a newly refurbished XSi body for 335. (The XS system must come with a kit lens through the program, making it only 20 dollars cheaper. So that's probably not the way to go. Might as well upgrade.)
With all that being said, I made this post because I also wanted to explore the option of getting a used camera off a reputable site like this one. Just investigating every possibility here.
