I can see the bar code function being a big plus for certain types of photography and is a very innovative idea. I was hoping for more though, as I could possibly be in the market soon for a new body, and the 7D is tops of my list.
The new EOS 7DSV (Studio Version) Barcode Kit (EOS 7DSV and WFT-E5A with firmware change) will carry an estimated selling price of $ $2599. The EOS 7DSV (Studio Version) Body Only will carry an estimated selling price of $1829.
I was relieved to see nothing new added that would make me want it...I'm sure the features will be useful for some, but it seems like a strange announcement (more like something they could add via firmware to anything already out). I'd go 5DMII for that price anyway.
Canon 7D and some stuff that sticks on the end of it.
