SOLD: Nikon AF-S 400 mm f/2.8G ED VR - like new

I am selling my USA Nikon AF-S 400 mm f/2.8G ED VR due to lack of use. Knowing this is an expensive purpose I sent the lens to Nikon Melville 2 weeks ago and just got it back. They replaced a piece of plastic, checked focus and VR systems, and did a general "clean and check." Copy of receipt is here.

The lens is the sharpest Nikon I have used (see first 70 images here) and focuses amazingly fast. I used it with and without the 3 Nikon teleconverters. I just need more reach so I now use the 600 f4 VR.

The lens is near perfect. I am the original owner. Lenscoat has been on it from day one. It has been stored wrapped when not in use.

The lens comes with everything that came with the lens - case, straps, manual, original foot and lens hood. As you can see in a picture below, the straps have never come out of the plastic and the case is like new (I stored the lens elsewhere.)
Additional items that come with the lens are a Wimberley replacement foot which sells for $80, a lenscoat, which has been on the lens since day 1 and sells for $90 at B&H, and a Hoodie Lens Hood, which fits more secure and is easier to put on and take off than the stock hood and sells for $29 at B&H.
The lens itself is out of stock at B&H but it sells for a nickel less than $9000.

Total price new for all is over $9330 when you include shipping.

I want $7500 for the lens, which includes paypal fees, shipping and insurance in the lower 48 states. I will ship UPS ground and the shipment would require a signature. If you would like to pay by a check, I will charge $7350, but you would have to wait for the check to clear before I send it. Reduced - $7100 by paypal, $7000 by check.
