Deleting Photos

I have not had this happen before and hope that one of you can help me figure out what I've done wrong:

I tried to delete a couple of photos from a gallery several days ago, and now when I run the gallery as a slideshow, black boxes show up where those few pictures were located. Why would this be?

Gallery is here: http://stueveshots.smugmug.com/The-Wide-World/Florida-2010/. Let the filmstrip run and you'll see the couple of blank spots pretty quickly.
