Hey guys and gals,
Question about LR3 refresh.
As I'm editing my images, specifically the sharpening, I noticed that the main image doesn't change as I move the slider. I actually have to move the image to get it to refresh and show the sharpening result I just applied.

Anyone else notice this?

The real time masking done in conjunction with the sharpening sliders in LR3 on very large RAW files takes some real computer horsepower.

My MacPro requires just a second or so sometimes when sharpening large files and it has pretty good horsepower, but still....

So I don't think what you are noticing is that unusual.

Are you seeing full size previews, also.

Actually yes they are full size. they do take a few seconds to completely render, so that I do understand, but the delay to see the results of sharpening I thought was a bit strange.

You do have a good point but if it was the horsepower then why see the results as soon as I move the main image?
