Work Flow...

I'm looking for ideas on a consistent, reliable, sensible workflow.

I took a quick crack at what I (should) do....

WORK FLOW
  1. Take lots of pictures
  2. Upload pictures to computer
  3. Use Microsoft Picture It to:
    • Rotate
    • Rank
    • Keywords
  4. Get camera ready for next shoot
    • Delete Pictures
    • Format Card? Don't know much about this - like why?
    • Charge Batteries
  5. Use "Rank" to determine which pictures to edit and share
  6. Make copies into a new folder ("Edited")
  7. Edit pictures - I use Microsoft Picture It - Premium 10....for now.
    • Red-eye
    • WB, color, sharpness, ect...play with it. Save versions if undecided...
    • Try B&W, sepia, negative...experiment
    • Crop
  8. Upload to smugmug website and organize
  9. Share pictures
    • Send to updated web link to friends
    • Get "good" pictures critiqued
    • Get "better" pictures into challenges like dpchallenge.com
  10. Learn and start over
Am I the master of the obvious or what? Man, I think I am "too" eager.

Oh well...

I am the pupil...and I want to learn...

Thanks for any advice in advance!
