On 8/15/2010 (Sunday) another photographer I know got a photograph of a Reddish Egret White Morph on Blackpoint Wildlife Drive in MINWR. Today I went to MINWR to see if I could find that Reddish Egret White Morph. I was unsuccessful in my quest, but was rewarded with several shots of normal Reddish Egrets.........

Nice ones, Ira. They look a lot like blue herons. I like #1 best

Lovely pictures. They should take away the pain of missing the bird you were looking for, for sure.

Numbers one and three are my favourites, with seven coming close behind. What an awkward-looking take-off for such a graceful bird!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

The White-morph Reddish Egret is rare. Percent of white morphs in Central FL=5%-8%.

That said, a friend of mine returned to Merritt Island NWR yesterday and got photographs the white morph.

Nice series Ira. I really enjoyed seeing them when in Florida last year.
