Facebook Quickshare issue

I like the new facebook quickshare feature but I noticed something strange

If I "like" a photo in a keyword feed, for instance
this one in the feed "favorite"

The like feature is applied to all photos with the keyword "favorite", and the actual photo in its original gallery is not "liked"

Seems to me the like feature should only pertain to the individual photo, not the keyword feed or gallery, and should be across the entire site.
It definitely should be a consistent feature, where liking something on one page, is the same as liking something on another...which it is not if this is the default behavior.

looks like the keyword feed is now not being "liked" but the photo in its original gallery doesn't inherit the "like" still.

after further review, the keyword "liking" is still happening...just takes a few minutes to surface.

Wow, it's pretty disappointing how many bugs there were in such a simple feature as the FB like. It's like nobody even bothered to think how to test it before releasing it. These are not difficult edge cases where it breaks down. These are expected test cases that anyone giving 15 minutes of thinking to how they should design/test it would consider these other factors. It appears like it doesn't work in several of the different types of gallery views and it doesn't work in the special galleries (keywords, popular, etc...). This is pretty basic software engineering. Not confidence inspiring. When I was running an engineering team, there'd be some pretty serious explaining to do by both those responsible for the QA and those responsible for writing the software when gaffes this obvious get out.

agreed, pretty inexcusable. I mean the link back to the website doesn't even work (smugmug.com instead of originating domain). Obviously not tested very thoroughly.

And, it was delayed a week too from original planned release so it's not like they didn't have time to test these basic things.

I don't see any buttons on the date pages.

I am not sure if the buttons were intended to be on every page during this first release. But I have added a bug report for the date page missing buttons as a reminder to the programmers. Thanks.

In the release notes it states

• Tweet and Like buttons should now post links for the photo you pick in Popular and Keyword galleries (not the whole gallery).

However, I still get links that go to galleries and not individual photos.
