cropping is no good , for image quality , i know that
but hey , i'm after close-up , not landscape

Think this is a crop too far - detail is blurry and aliased - often with jumpers lower mag shots with some environment looks very good!

"cropping is no good"
neither is this shot
no part is in focus or sharp, you have to have a very good quality image to crop even a little bit..
pixels mean detail.
just need to get more magnification for extreme close ups.
as Brian mentioned jumpers look better with loads of space around them.
