juvenile night heron

been away for a bit - here's one to ease my way back to the forum. This was taken at dusk and at ISO 1600 and 1/125 of a second with no stabilization and a 400mm lens. (Hint: under those conditions, brace the lens and take lots of pics to get one good one!)

    Very nice capture and very good control in low lighting. Never seen them this small before, very nice.

    I was just a little too close to get the whole thing in - what can you do - either it's too close or too far <g>...
