Thanx Kevin!
Sure - couldn't be more simple! I armed my 10D with the Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 II, put Elliot flat on a black sheet spread out on our bed, whitdrawled the curtains and let the window take care of the lighting. That's all there was to it!
[f/1.8, 1/125, ISO 400, ambient light, shot in RAW.]
ahhh goodness what a sweet baby you've got! The drool makes it even better lol. I cant decide which one I like better, they're both totally adorable! -Jamie

Hi Matty,
Very cute set of pictures there, and I'm sure you've been told that #2 is priceless. Do you mind sharing your setup as to lighting and lens?
Cheers,

Lovely presentation of your cutie. I especially like the second one because of the great play with depth of field.

I think your lighting, and the capture of your kid's eyes, is just perfect! The conversion is also beautiful, I love the tones you achieved here!
Thanks so much for sharing!
Take care!

It's all thanks to my Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 II - a wonderful lens! :

Nothing beats natural light, don't ya say? I've been using flash way to much, gives all images a stereotype, flat look.
