Dimensions of a Nikon camera strap?

I run my own sewing business locally in Indiana and have been requested to try to make a special gift for a local photographer.

The client has asked me to make a camera strap for a Nikon. She wasn't sure what model of Nikon she had, but I told her the general construction of camera straps is about the same. (Hope I was right.) :scratch

Would anyone like to share super close photos of the hooking mechanism that attaches the actual strap to the camera, share the comfortable length of the camera strap and any other notations I would need?

I would also like to know the width of the camera strap too.

about 50 cm long and 4 cm wide [ 2 1/2 cm = an inch ]
at both ends are canvas straps sewed with leather
no need to worry about length , its adjustable

Are the hooking mechanisms the 'thread' through and take around - or is it the actual hooks?

on the camera is a metal ring at each side witch the strap runs true
they are stuck to camera
length is adjusted by moving the strap through the plastic rings only
no easy un-hooking [ not on my cameras ]
