FYI: Bug in slideshow for Pro's if site-wide password is used?

Just figured this one out, maybe you know about it already or maybe it's isolated to me:
  • If I add a slideshow to my homepage via the built-in tools, and a site-wide password is in place, guest viewers will get the "This gallery requires a password" even though there is no password set on the gallery. Obviously in this scenario, the guests have already entered the site-wide password. 'Owner view' shows the slideshow just fine.
  • As soon as I remove the site-wide password, everything works fine.
I thought it was intermittent yesterday (can't clearly recall, too much back and forth on other things, too), but I can repro 100% today.

Site is www.thefarnys.com. (Mods, if you need password, please send mail).

Thanks,
Per

    Per,

Sorry about that, It is a known issue. The site password does break the things that drive the slideshow. So it does not work. For now, removing the site password is the solution. I do have it on the list to be fixed in the future.

    Hi,

I noticed that this is still a problem. Has this been abandoned or is it still on the list to be fixed? When it is estimated to be fixed, if at all? Are there any work arounds? Thanks.
