So I'm fairly comfortable with using photoshop to do basic to intermediate editing of my photos. Now that I'm doing more web design, I need to learn how to use photoshop (or illustrator???) for graphics.

So does anyone have any suggestions about any books or online resources that I can start with? I'm great with layer styles, but I'm horrible at much of anything else.

Illustrator Rules, but has a very very STEEP learning curve. Tons of online stuff available, but what really helped me was ordering a bargain basement 'class' from TotalTraining. I ordered a intermediate Illustrator class form a previous version for like $70.- and while it has some gaps as certain features have changed, it was a good alternative to the normal $300+ cost.

    FWIW,
