    All beautiful pictures, but the second one is stunning. What bird is that?

    (I'm gradually learning to identify North American species by haunting this forum...)

    Thanks the second one is a cattle egret in his mating colors. Most of the year the cattle egret is a drab looking white bird except for its mating season.

    Thanks Ric those cattle egrets are marvelous subjects during their mating season.

    Those tortoises were just having some tortoise fun.
