I know that this could prove to be some work for those that care to take a look and comment but i would like to try and get some site and gallery feedback

I have been out of the photo game for 10+ years and just began to re-learn with all the new rigs and lenses so feedback would be a great tool

Your site has a nice clean look to it.

You have some categories that contain only a single gallery. You can add some code that will take the viewer directly into the (only) gallery in that category instead of forcing the viewer to click twice. See # 24 in jfriend's Collection of javascript customizations.

Allowing access to Originals gives your viewers a very good reason not to purchase from your site - they can grab the photos for free. See ORIGINALS = a gateway to free photos, & right click protection is NOT PROTECTION.

Your guestbook has no title, no text, no breadcrumb. How will viewers know what they are looking at?

I find the text on your About page to be quite difficult to read. It is too light against the background, and in my opinion the font size is also too small. I suspect the same will be true if you add descriptions to your galleries.

Great feedback Denise.. I dont quite understand the breadcrumb but do agree that the text is a bit light in the about me section... I still have a lot to learn here but am clicking the links you provided as I type

The breadcrumb is the "trail" at the top of your gallery that consists of yourSmugName > CategoryName > GalleryName. It is used for navigation and for identification of the gallery. Without the breadcrumb, and without you adding some text to the gallery description, a viewer has no idea what gallery they are viewing.

Also, I think the font for your name is a bit old fashioned. And I'd prefer the slideshow transition a bit more quickly

Im working on trying these things but everytime I add another code my whole site goes loopy.. yes.. loopy... Im not too too good at this HTML, JAVA, CSS stuff

I agree with the others, but will add: Perhaps try and add a variety of photo types on the home page slide show and speed it up.

Also, could just be me, but i don't care for the background color. Maybe try lighter or darker?
