Watermarks

I am new to smugmug and digital grin. Once the watermark is applied are you able to see it? If so, then mine is not appearing.
Also after I applied the watermark my picture was duplicated:dunno.
I appreciate your help.

    We will need a link to your site in order to help. Please add it to your signature so it is always available. Click You! in the navbar above, then Edit Signature.

    How did you apply your watermark? Applying a watermark does not duplicate the photo, assuming you applied it via smug's watermarking process.

    I followed the directions for creating the watermark. then applied it by clicking on tools-many photos-more-watermarking.

    you will see 2 photos of a man on a bridge; that was the one that was duplicated.

    you made the photo of a man on the bridge as your watermark. I'm sure that was not your intent :D

    I followed the directions but it appears based on the gentleman's answer below I am not doing it right. Thank you for your help.

    Did you upload an image to use as a watermark, make that image into a watermark, then apply it to your photo?

    What exact steps did you follow?

    Watermark not disapearing
    Hi,

    My website: jorgesalasphoto.smugmug.com

    I applied the default watermark to a gallery. Then I decided I didn't want it, so I took it out on the gallery settings.

    About 13 hours have passed, the watermark is still on all the images.

    Am I missing something here?

    The setting under gallery settings for watermarks is only for newly uploaded
    photos. You have to go to tools > many photos > more > watermarking to
    reset/add/remove existing WM's.
