Good day at Graue Mill
I had some really good luck the other day at Graue Mill. The Night Heron was waiting for me by the dam and the Green Heron paid me a visit later in the day. I got my first "good" BIF, even if it was just a common Mallard, and to end the day I stumbled upon a Great Blue Heron at close range.
Enjoy!
Just as I got an unobstructed view of the resident NH it took off, I was ready this time and actually got it in relatively good focus.
I was watching a Kingfisher across the river hopeing it would come closer so i could get a half decent shot of it when a Green Heron came diving in and landed close to me and then took off again.
I made my way back to the dam and caught a Mallard in Flight. This is the best BIF I've gotten so far and I'm pretty proud.
I took one last walk past the dam to the end of the trail and spooked a GBH that was sitting on the other side. Luckily it landed on a felled tree close by and I was able to crawl behind a log and take some shots before it flew off to get it's dinner.
Hope you like them! I'm really excited now because my 2x TC comes in tomarrow.
Comments always appreciated.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
I think I said this before but looks like you have a great area to shoot in !!
