I asked for some "professional courtesy" in order to shoot on the grounds of the Rockland Psych Center.. and the Cops said OK, you were "on the job" and you know the deal- NO PHOTO's of the Patients (HIPA and that stuff) but thats ok- the buildings tell a story alone!

One of the cops (who recognized me) yelled out "Watch out for the Ghosts!" followed by a hearty laugh..

More to come (if it's ok to post it here)

Nice work. Not overprocessed on the HDR.

The first looks slightly tilted. I like the style of architecture there. It looks peaceful.

I like the 2nd better than the 3rd. I'd get depressed living there.

Oh- it's not tilted. The tripod was leveled, etc.

That facility is in the side of a sloping hill.

Those are some wild colors, probably seen by patients, but rarely seen in real life. ;-)

I "untilted" the two that were "leaning backwards" using this freeware "ShiftN" and it looks better:

I had to stop shooting while this kid passed by doing the "thorazine shuffle"- took a while...

I think if you could get back there at dusk and grab some shots and work into the night with a off camera flash set up, man that I think would come out pretty good..
