Serious critiques on this one please.

Would you call this good or goof?
Was the best shot I got of a Bee in flight.
Little outta frame? Outta Focus?

Was a really tough subject!! :huh

If I had never tried to get a Bee in Flight I would say:"its OOF, the wings are cropped, the flower is centered, the branch in the upper right is distracting....". But I have tried to get a BIF and this shot is better than anything I have come up with soo far so I say good job thumb.gif .
Can I suggest using an aperture around 10-13 if possible. It looks like in this shot it would not have worked because it would have brought your Shutter speed down way to low, but use it if you can to get more in focus next time.

Thanx for the input! That was one of about 20 diff shots and that was the only decent one. My framing was a tad off but like ya said they are tough to capture! (Aim.....shoot and hope in 2 seconds) I'll hafta try it again someday......I was just goofing around to see if I could do it. Kinda like a hole in one with golf. :D

To bee or not to bee that was the question! :giggle

Thats a really tough subject. You have a fast moving subject and its hard to capture with your aperture wide open, if you step down the aperture you lose shutter speed. The only way i have been sucessful (very, very few times) was to bump up the ISO to step down the aperture and still have a decent shutter speed.

It was a good try but doesn't work with the subject OOF.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
