    That was intentional.. just playin' around with a set of images and used the "grunge" preset.

    I'm sure you are happy with it and I do like the crazy HDR effect in general, its really too much for my tastes. Which program did you use though?

    This is how I might deal with this..l (Hope you don't mind!) I desaturated the blues, magentas and oranges, only, a bit! :D

    reduce the luminance a bit to get rid of the glowing edges will improve this image IMO.

    I'm just learning 2 but....
    I use LR3 after photomatix then PS to finalize.
    LR3 I use to fine tune luminance, dodge and burn select areas.
    You can't beat PS eyedropper to pick the pure white and black points accurately. I use masking & adjustment layers to increase the tonal range and PS has a wider color space ( I have a fake HDR plugin that does this automagically). I also do final compositing in PS.
