mr-14ex vs mr-24ex

Macro photography is a large part of what I love to do (1x and larger), so I am now considering going all out and buying the best so I don't waste any more time with trying to shove my flash in a 1" space between the lens and the subject. I've read and seen some negative things about the mr-14ex considering flat lighting, but does that really matter in post processing? The samples I've seen look like they're straight from the camera untouched. Wouldn't an unsharp mask or a 1:2 lighting ratio eliminate the dullness just as easily as turning the two flash heads of the mr-24ex?

Yeah... although %90 of the things I'd use the flash for can fit inside of the ring itself I do wonder if the mr-24 would be worth it to expand possibilities to candid events and stuff... but for $300 a nice powerful flash/diffuser combo would do better, I think
So many things to consider
only thing to consider is what you gonne do with it
twins can adjusted and or used separately from each other
used single or both
can be taken of the lens , to position elsewhere
these are the major different s IMO
and , highlights ;
twins show 2 , with a ring it shows only one , as a ring further no differents
