This started it all. While out photographing Herons and Woodstorks at a local rookery recently, this strange creature flew by. Now as many others, I am in constant pursuit of Roseate Spoonbill photos. Luckily I live in an area where they can be found. But forget that 200mm lens, lets start with 300 and work our way up from there. I have spent a lot of money, but am having a great time.

see my latest, under tag below.

Spoonbills have always been one of my favorite subjects, You'll find the 300mm f/4 to be a great tool to capture them.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

This is one of my only other picks of the identical bird. A pair came to a rookery, I visit regularly. but only stayed for a day or two. I have not seem them for months, I have been going to ding darling just about every weekend since.

The forum will only let you attach 1 photo at a time. You can host them elsewhere and link/embed them in posts like explained here.

You can learn pretty much everything else about the forum here in this post.

I have only seen maybe 4-5 Spoonbills around here in 5 years. Of course while driving or riding my bike without a camera on me...
