Gallery password not working for some clients

Hi,
I have a gallery that is password protected. I've tried accessing the gallery as a customer from a Mac Pro, Mac BookPro, Windows laptop, and an iPad with no problem. The password has the first letter as a capital and all others as lowercase.
However, I've had a couple of customers complain about not being able to access the gallery. One has not gotten back to me. Another has told me she is using a Windows machine with IE. What are the security settings that she needs to have in place on her browser in order to put in the password and get into the gallery? Are there any "gotchas," either software-wise or setting-wise, that I should be aware of when password protecting a gallery?
Thanks in advance.
Marc
