Saturday I set up a remote camera under the judges stand for a different angle. I like the way these turned out. What are you thoughts.

My setup was a 1DMk2n with a 28/70 set about 50mm. Strobes were set to 2 stops above ambient lighting.

I set up the camera on a floor plate I got here.

I shoot a lot of volleyball and think these turned out real nice. The onley issue I have is the back ground. I like the back ground blurred out more. Other than that great job!

    Where were your strobes?
My daughter made the freshman team and I would like to get some decent images this year. Any other tips?

Strobes are all mounted one 1 side. they have a TV platform that I mount 4 sets of AB 800's to the back railing. I bounce off the ceiling.

Very cool. What focal length? I might set up my old D2H like this.

These were taken at about 50mm on a 1DMk2n, which is a 1.3 crop camera.

I shot loose so I could use either horzontal or vertical images. Here is a link to 18 images I kept.

You seem to be getting some motion in the ball. Are you unable to get 2 stops over ambient with those strobes?
