Gathering Photos from others.

I’m looking for suggestions on how best for other individuals to send me photos for a couple of projects that I am working on. Something similar to a common FTP site. The photos uploaded are not intended to be viewed for an extended period of time, just a method to send them to me.
Based on a previous project, email tended to be the most common method; however it just brought my email service to a crawl. Unfortunately, many of the people I encounter don’t know how to upload to their ISP web storage. So I need something simple.
Anyone’s comments would greatly be appreciated.

It's set up to allow sharing of uploaded files. Everyone could have their own account/site and then you can download. Or I suppose you could set up a site and give others the password to it.

I've never actually tried it out. All I know is that you can grant limited access to your account to 'assistants'.
