Changing Custom Domain

I had godaddy hosting my site and I just switched it over to smugmug. I was using www and I switched it over with no problem and everything seems to be working. My website is www.crazy4lifephoto.com but when I type in crazy4lifephoto.com it links to my old page. My understanding is that when I go to the DNS control page the "@" is what I need to change. I'm not sure if I should delete it or forward it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Terry

Hi Terry, You need to update your @ A record. It is currently pointing to the IP address 68.178.254.185. You need to change that to point to 208.79.45.23. That will point your domain without the www to your smugmug page. Make sure you only have one @ A record. If you need any additional help just yell.

I prefer a Web Forward of the naked domain (without the www) to the www domain. It may just be preference though.

We do not support this at SmugMug. To all reading this: please use only CNAME alias and then set an A-record pointing to our IP - this is how it works at SmugMug thumb.gif
