When you come across a good feeding, the guide will tell you the animals are 'putting on the lipstick'.

We were hightailing it to the local airport for our return flight to Nairobi. It's always the saddest safari of the entire trip, but on this one we lucked out and came across these lionesses feeding. Three drivers in our group (including ours) had already been fined for driving off road, but despite our cautions, they insisted on driving over to view these. We didn't have much time between not wanting to miss our flights and watching out for game wardens, but we managed to get a few keeper shots.

This lady looks like she could rip the meat apart with just her tongue.

And we didn't :wink
C&C always welcome. I can't learn if I don't know what I've done wrong or could do better.

In the end, we all get eaten by someone else. Life gets passed around.

Very good Don, Y'all are killing me with these Africa images. My trip there is still over a year away.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
