Swimming with sharks

While on vacation in North Carolina last week I took some time out from surfing to try to grab a few shots of surfers while in the water with my little Canon S90 in a water housing. I was swimming around trying not to get run over and somehow stay still enough to take a picture. It is really hard. The S90 is a great camera, but it is no sports camera. There is no framing shots. You just can't really see what you are doing with the screen in situations like this. You just point....and shoot. But the whole thing was really fun and a few of the guys are pumped about getting some photos at all. Most of these are not super sharp. But we are still talking P&S. These took some tweaking in LR to get to this point but overall, I am pretty happy with the whole thing.:D

Check em out.

You can't get too far away with a 5x P&S. I wanted to be in there to get as close as possible, of course, without getting run over. I was coaching my brother too, who was out there trying to catch a wave.

Glad you guys like em. It is always fun playing with the water housing. Got some cool fishing ones too. With a stingray on the line.
