You can understand me, when she asked me to take her portrait and I saw this white blouse and dark hair...
So my Sony F707 had to do his/her best...

    great shots - gorgeous model..
    outstanding, Yuri
#4 and #2 are my favorites, and #1 is also really spectacular...
I love her pose and the close-up of #5, but I wish her hair didn't blend into the background quite so much.. but it's a minor critique.. you really have quite a superior talent
    as always, I'm duly impressed!

    Yuri,

Anytime I see your name on a post, I always look! These are fantastic.

Now, a question. Do you direct, and pose the girls?

Your portrait poses, and expresions are consistantly excelent.

#5 is definitely the most emotive. IMO, your best of this set.

    Well done as usual.

Yuri, The others are good, but this one does it for me. The relaxed pose, the
hint of a smile starting to form on her lips. If this shot was taken a second
early, or a second later, it probably would have lost something.

I could complain about the red pipe in the background, but it took me a full
minute to quit looking at her to see it.

Can you tell I like the shot?

    Thanks for sharing these.
    dave.

    Lovely photos, Yuri! :D
You surely know how to give us a bad time, trying to choose which is better!

I think my favourite shots are #2, 4 and 5. Your model looks so relaxed, and you were very careful with natural light, as usual. Beautiful lighting and model! By the way, she has a remarkable resemblance to a girl I met some time ago (except for the hair, that is).

    Thanks so much for sharing!
    Take care!

    Hi Yuri.

I have been a lurker here for a couple of months trying to learn about photography and I just had to register and say a big thank you for image 4.

Your work is fantastic and I hope to learn a great deal from it - but this shot in particular is incredibly captivating.

Perhaps one day I will begin to understand what makes a good picture and what makes an outstanding picture and incorporate it into my own shots.

Admittedly this is a dream. At present, I have to contend with how to make reasonable shots! :D

    Thanks

I have always been a fan of your portraiture work. I may not comment on every series you post but I never miss the opportunity to look at them closely.

I concur with Andy on this one. #2 is truly special – it gives me the feeling of a reverse position – as if the girl was looking at me and not the reverse. #4 is excellent for a totally different reason: perhaps less personal than #2 but a very good pose and facial expression.thumb.gif

    Hi Yuri,
I can't believe I almost missed this post. I'm glad someone brought it back to the top.
Once again, super work. Your exposure and post processing is very goodthumb.gif; the dark hair and white top is very tricky to get both without RAW. You've kept the detail in bothclap.gif. And as for the treatment of your subject...well...I'm a fan:D.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Chris
