This is probably one of my favorite photos I've taken to date.

Canon 50D, 10-22, 11:30pm, 30 minute exposure. Lake Cavanaugh, Washington.

It is all gathered light. The light o the car was from a camp fire near by.

It is. That was an unexpected result, but turned out amazing. I loved the light on the car.

No filters... Well I had a Hoya Pro UV Filter. Thank you!

You could probably work a little with flash and CTO gels to make that just sizzle by more effectively lighting the car.

Remember that when using gels to add color, less power is better. By that I mean the lower the flash power, the more color comes through
