Problem sharing on facebook

I've searched to see if anyone else has this same problem, but couldn't find a match. Whenever I try to share a photo on facebook, i get a message that " i wasn't able to reach facebook, they may be having problems try again later". This has been going on for quite a while and I can upload direct to facebook with no problem. Help

Hi Andy, this is from my home computer. I tried again today and got the same result. Strangely, I used the new publish to facebook feature in LR 3 and the post went through fine. I would prefer to use my Smug site however to get the link back to my gallery. I have all the sharing features that I know of enabled on smug, and I'm using public galleries. Thanks

Ok so now I feel dumb. Help desk has straightened me out. For anyone reading this who may have a similar problem, the help desk suggested that I be sure to set my browser to allow third party cookies. I did that and now everything works fine. they also suggested clearing my cache which I will also do. Glad we have such great support here. Tough to teach an old dog new tricks

Did you try again 'later' as the message says? This message happens when Facebook has trouble.

I tried yesterday am, last night a couple of times and this am all from home laptop..will wait and see if facebook is having weekend troubles.

Tried again this am still same message. I am sharing from a password protected gallery does that matter?

ilbcnu, if you're getting that error over and over again, it usually means facebook isn't able to store the cookie they need. If you already enabled 3rd party cookies, is there any chance you're running some adblock or security software? That could cause the problem. Have you tried it in another browser, and which browser are you using? Sharing a passworded gallery shouldn't be a problem.

Oh thank you Scott!! I went back into the advanced privacy settings and changed things there and uploading works..
