How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Question
As by your choices of #3 are the in flight shots are generally more attractive to people?

It's not the attraction of the flight shots, but more of a natural setting of the birds in flight or even perched on a branch. Having the feeder in the image takes that away, but don't get me wrong feeder shots are OK as well, but I prefer the more natural look of the Humming birds in action. That is my take on your question. Nice captures added to this thread.

I feel the same way, I hate the feeder but they get to it quicker than I can get the Bigma focused most of the time.

wouldn't it be better to shoot with a higher shutter speed or sinc the shutter speed with the lite to get freeze in the wings? I have been shooting these guys also, and found that a high shutter will freeze the wings, but a good sinc of flash and speed will do the same? Great pics by the way.

I might go higher ISO but the Bigma isn't that fast and I haven't had any luck with the flash.

Now how on earth did you get that little guy to fly around your hand?bowdown.gif like did you pour a good amount of the best juice ever?thumb.gif This photo is very impressive. I can not get those flying zippers to stay still long enough for me to get close enough to get a photo.

Laughing.gif, just some red juice and he swooped in for a landing and some drink a few times but I missed those shots.
