Expression and posture in #1 is priceless.

#2 is excellent, too, especially the background, outside the window. Beautiful and serene.

#3 and #4 just don't grab me, for some reason. I can't put my finger on it.

#5 is just a great, old-fashioned dog portrait, suitable for framing or inclusion in an expensive "Dogs of DC" calendar.

    Howdy,

That first image is just a hoot, what a classic family portrait!!!

Really love them all, very nicely done.
    Take care,

#1 is great for expressions but it seems a little washed out, you might try adding a little "punch" to it. Number #5 is a great candid picture. The eyes are a little soft. Make sure you focus on the eyes.

#1 is the obvious winner, but #5 is no slouch either.

I agree the first one is the standout. However #5 really strikes me as well. How did you get them to sit still that long?

. . . How did you get them to sit still that long? . . .

Italian Greyhounds are a very docile, gentle breed. And since these are older dogs, they have no trace of 'puppy-energy.' So with one treat in hand, to keep their attention, they will pretty much do as they're told.

Unfortunately, the dog in the center of the first picture passed away on Saturday. He came to us at 8 just weeks old and was with us for 15 years.

I'm not usually a fan of pet photos, but you sure changed that with the first one.

Sorry to hear you lost one of your precious dogs. We too lost our Hannah in Jan. It's a heartbreaker -- they win you over heart and soul. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Love the first one and the last one! I agree that they appear a little washed out and need a little punch. Sorry to hear that you lost one of them. :(

I would have that first image printed up on a nice art paper!

I also liked #4 and #5, but one is fantastic.
