A Hover I've never seen before.

..at least I suspect it's a Hoverfly. This big fat Pie eater came barging its way in onto the goodies and stuck around for a few hours.
I thought initially it was a bee but when it began to hover in the one spot, I knew it wasn't.
EDIT: I've since been advised this is a Drone Fly or MYATHROPA FLORAE
