I was able to get to Mono lake a few weeks ago- what a fantastic place for photographs.

These are beautiful, Dave. #3 and #5 are my favorites. I haven't been to Mono Lake since I was a kid; I'm gonna have to get back there.

nice series, but #3 and #5 are just excellent! i especially like #5, because it's so different from the calm, reflecting shots you normally see of this place. i officially "have" to get there now...

I agree, I really like the storm clouds and rough water shots. Gives you a whole different side to the Mono lake personality.

oh, those are some wicked clouds and light! incredible series. definitely a lot more moody than most shots of mono i've seen. faves are 3 and 4.

You got some great light and were able to take advantage of it. My favorite is the second - mostly because the light is ridiculously awesome

Thanks for taking the time to comment everyone. I was really lucky to have both a sunset and sunrise that both had a lot of color and drama. Some of the clouds in #4 and #5 are smoke from a small forest fire - another lucky coincidence.

I cannot wait to get back there.
