[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]I went down to Lake Cunningham Skatepark ( what a nice place ). Have never shot BMX before and looking for some tips and opinions. I became intrigued by the hollow sphere ( not sure what the technical name is ) lined up for some shots. The " perspective shots " seem to lack impact and the shots that I took from inside the sphere ( at great personal risk smiley.gif ) seemed to lack perspective. Any comments/tips from the members?

the color on 3-4 is very nice especially with his gold shirt, but I am loosing what angle the rider is on... makes the photos look flipped. What about a fish eye lens. Would be nice to have a tree in the skyline to show him inverted. Fun to shoot a skilled rider like that.

I recently shot at my local skate park and another photographer was down in a bowl to get the best angle.. but it was crowded and I did not trust most of the riders. After the first bail sending a spinning frame his way.. he jumped out.

I'd love to see more WA in that. But these are pretty cool!

I was shooting 14mm on a full frame. Can I get any wider?

Which 14 are you shooting with? Was it the 14-24? I'd probably shoot with the 15mm fish-eye.

Yes it was the 14-24. Now I'm confused, isn't 15 narrower than 14???headscratch.gif

Yes. But...the 14-24 is not a fisheye. The 15mm is (the Canon 15 is--dunno about the Nikon).
