One of my favourite local spots for evening landscapes is Jack Point Park just outside of Nanaimo.
Even though we are on the East coast of the Island it is on a peninsula and faces West looking back to Nanaimo. It also has some very nice sandstone formations on the beaches and they warm up beautifully in the late evening sun. These shots are from a trip a couple of nights ago. As always, comments and suggestions are most welcome!

oooh... i can see why you love this spot so much. such interesting geology that i did not think was up here in the northwest. number 1 definitely highlights these geologic formations and cool textures well, and #2 and 3 are my faves. the HDR appears to be done just right for my taste.

All nice shots. Photo #1 is great, the rest seem underexposed to me. I would adjust the white balance in #2 and #4, they just seem a little too cool. I would love to see this place in person. Thanks for sharing.
