The 'Compressed' Landscape

I see this term popping up everywhere lately, chalk it up to crop magnification factor in my book. It refers to a landscape shot with a telephoto lens, which allows the photographer to isolate elements through composition and selective focus. Here are a few examples photographed with an EF 85mm f1.8 x1.6.
