Gorillas (not quite) in the wild

So we go to Disney World every year. I can't afford to fly somewhere to take photos of gorillas in the wild so I shot these while we were there. Unfortunately, I wasn't very well-equipped for the photos (didn't have a long lens).

Hey, I think I went to high school with that guy! He was in my weight-training class, senior year...

I go to Disney World every year, too. In fact, this year's trip is only 24 days away, and since last year I've upgraded both my camera body and my walkaround lens (from a Canon Digital Rebel 300D to a Canon 50D, and from a Sigma 18-125 to a Canon EF-S 18-200 IS). I am ITCHING to take my new camera and lens on the Pangani Forest Exploration trail to take pics of the gorillas, the Maharaja Jungle Trek for pics of the tigers, and the Kilamanjaro Safari ride for pics of lots of other animals. Plus, lots of other photo ops throughout the property.
What I said when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time: "The wide ain't wide enough and the zoom don't zoom enough!"

It's not about where you take the pictures, it's about how well you take them. And you take them very well.

C&C always welcome. I can't learn if I don't know what I've done wrong or could do better.

Thanks a bunch. That makes me feel good. I'm more of a sports photographer and have been wanting to make more time to shoot some wildlife.

We go 2-3 times a year (family and friends down there) so I have plenty of opportunities. Shoot me a pm with your email address and I'll give you a few ideas I stumbled upon on this last trip. :)

    I also shoot a 50D.
